November 17, 2009 Board Meeting Agenda Item #25 Title APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #0511 FOR CLEANING OF METAL ROOFS AND OTHER STRUCTURES AND SURFACES Description Bids for 'Cleaning of Metal Roofs and Other Structures and Surfaces' were received from eight vendors on October 20, 2009. The bid of Awnclean Diversified Services is the best low bid meeting the advertised specifications. The bid of GCSI Paintscape, Inc., was non-responsive to the requirement for cleaning of metal roofs and other structures and surfaces as their primary business. This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. The funds for these services are in the capital budget allocated to the Facilities Services Department. Recommendation That the bid of Awnclean Diversified Services, to provide 'Cleaning of Metal Roofs and Other Structures and Surfaces' in an amount not to exceed $150,000.00, be approved for award and purchase.
